► WILL MILES
► CHEMICAL SMILE
► TENTH ELECTRIC
On Saturday 1st December THE PLAYGROUND PR hosts a night of some of the best unsigned talent from across London at the infamous PROUD GALLERIES. With 2 artists launching new material, it should make for a very special evening in the famous Horse Stables at PROUD Camden.
► WILL MILES- London based folk/ rock songwriter WILL MILES headlines the night, fresh from causing a stir with his brand of foot stomping Americana at venues like London’s White Heat Club, Club Fandango, Symptomatic and Soul Food at Proud, where he has played sold out shows. With a recent support slot for Pete Doherty and slots at Cambridge Folk Festival, Uncivilization Festival, and two of Miles’ demo’s being handpicked to be used in a short film for the BFI by upcoming director Christian Solimeno, the buzz sound WILL MILES looks only set to build.
Shallow Water / Angela double A-side Out 26th November.
► CHEMICAL SMILE- Next on the line-up, CHEMICAL SMILE are an eclectic three-piece originally from the south coast of England who have fast become frequent faces on the London circuit, blending the sonic sounds of late 60’s Garage and Psychedelic rock n roll, with the angst and swagger of classic indie acts. Born out of the apathy of youth they combine soul-stomping melodies with quirky riffs and interrogating lyrics.
Thanks For The Company / Sude Glove double A side out 26th November.
► TENTH ELECTRIC- Opening up the night will be TENTH ELECTRIC, a brand new electro rock outfit from London UK. With a ferocious blend of Rock, Funk and Dance, TENTH ELECTRIC have already played some of London’s best live music venues including Scala, Proud, Cargo, Dingwalls and Water Rats whilst hitting other big venues across the country such as Manchester’s O2 Academy 2. Whilst currently working on debut UK EP the band are planning to release a full length album in SE Asia on Tonium, a UK based label with interests in Asia and India.
